Powerful Tools for Caregivers
The demands of caregiving can take a toll on the caregiver. Caregivers may neglect to take care of themselves by skipping exercise, not going to the doctor, or missing opportunities to relieve stress. Caregivers, who offer so much help to others, need support, too.
This class gives caregivers the skills to take care of yourself while caring for someone else. By taking care of your own health and well-being, you become a better caregiver. Six VIRTUAL 90-minute sessions held once a week are led by experienced, certified class leaders. Class participants are given The Caregiver Help book to accompany the class and provide additional caregiver resources. The tools and lessons of this course are proven to help:
- Reduce stress
- Improve self-confidence
- Manage time, set goals, and solve problems
- Better communicate your feelings
- Make tough decisions
- Locate helpful resources
This virtual workshop takes place on Tuesdays at 10:00 AM, November 14, 21, 28, December 5, 12, 19.
