Tai Chi for Health
Workshop sessions will be held weekly for 16 weeks on Tuesdays from 11am – 12pm beginning November 5 and ending March 11 (Skipping the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years).
An interactive, small-group workshop proven to improve your balance and reduce your risk of falling. This workshop is led by two trained and certified Instructors (from the Tai Chi for Health Institute). Participants may participate seated or standing.
Learn what will surely become a life-long practice to empower YOU to Age Well and remain falls free!
Over the sixteen sessions, registered participants will learn to:
- View falls and fear of falling as controllable
- 1-2 movements per lesson, progressively leading to completing 6 basic core movements & 6 advanced extension movements
- Breathing techniques that connect your mind & body
- Tai Chi principles including those relating to improving physical & mental balance
