Determining Your Community’s COVID-19 Risk Level

The CDC developed a web page called “COVID-19 by County” to help you decide what prevention steps to take based on COVID-19 levels in your community. Counties are categorized into three levels of risk – high, medium, and low – based on the most recent data.

The web page has a tool called “COVID-19 County Check,” which allows you to enter your state and county and provides a risk score and recommended prevention strategies based on the score, as well as additional precautions to take if you are at high risk for severe illness.

In addition to the COVID-19 County Check tool, the page features a map that shows county-level risk across the U.S.
