Breast Cancer Facts

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers for women in the United States. Cancer, specifically, is a disease in which cells in the body multiply and grow out of control. In the United States, around 250,000 women and around 2,300 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
Breast cancer is a disease in where cells in the breasts grow and multiply out of control. It is important to note that there are different types of breast cancer. People have
different signs and symptoms of breast cancer and some people do not have any symptoms at all. It is important to stay up to date with your check-ups, mammograms, and to do self-examinations.
Although there are some things you may not have control over, try to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating nutritious foods and exercising regularly. Both of these things have shown to lower the risk of getting breast cancer. If you have a family history of breast cancer, be sure to consult your doctor and take all the necessary preventative steps.
