Yoga Poses

Yoga can be a great way to relax, strengthen, and stretch. Yoga can provide benefits that are as effective as other workout plans and go beyond stretching such as: 

  • Increased strength 
  • Improved balance  
  • Reduced anxiety 
  • Managed stress and 
  • Boosted mindfulness 

This article describes three beginner yoga poses that you can try out at home: reverse warrior, wide legged forward fold, and eagle arms. Each pose can be held as long or as little as you’re comfortable with.  

Be sure to talk to your doctor before beginning yoga or any other exercise regimen.
