Working on good posture as we age is especially important. Good posture will help with back and neck pain and has a lot to do with the strength of our core. This and many other reasons is why strengthening our core with this one simple exercise can help a lot.
Once seated with good posture, hold a ball with both hands close to the body, with elbows bent and pulled in close to the ribcage. Slowly rotate your torso to the right as far as you comfortably can, being sure to keep the rest of your body still and stable. Rotate back to the center and repeat in the opposite direction. Do this 8 times, with two twists counting as one.
Rest and do another 8 sets.
